Governance and Organizational Structure

The highest decision making body of BEN-E is the General Assembly which in turn appoints seven Board members. The secretariat, being accountable to the Board, is headed by an Executive Director. The secretariat manages the day-to-day activities of the network and currently has the following four departments: Research and Communication, Program and Organizational Development, Networking and Organizational Learning, and Human and Financial Resource Developments with a total of 14 staff (Six professional and eight support staff). The current organizational structure is shown in figure 1.
