BEA-E's focus activities are the following:

•  Lobbying & advocacy by disseminating information through brochures, newsletters, fliers, etc;

•  Networking and sharing with other organizations;

•  Exchange of relevant experiences and exposure visits to best practices;

•  Organizing meetings, workshops and conferences to support the capacity enhancement of members;

•  Research and documentation;

•  Staff training of member organizations;

•  Support gender focused activities; and recently

•  Grant management.


Service Delivery

 

BEAE provides to its members and partners:

  • Information services (News digest, booklets, directory, databases, etc.);
  • Training services;
  • Workshops/seminars/conferences;
  • Resource center, etc.

Achievements

  • Served as a platform for information exchange on program activities for member organizations through panel discussions, workshops, etc.;
  • Participated in international conferences/meetings on education;
  • Organized international events and workshops on ILD, GCE, etc.;
  • BEAE has a strong support of donors;
  • Has started establishing good relationship with the government (MOE, and regions). Because of this, it has facilitated the 2005 Joint Review Mission (JRM) and the 2006 Annual Review Meeting (ARM); has been invited to comment on the PRSP and also to attend the Adult and Non-Formal Education Strategic Guideline development workshop.
  • BEAE represents members in many conferences/meetings and air their views.
  • It has established a resource center and internet cafe in its premises;
