BEA-E's focus activities are the following: Lobbying & advocacy by disseminating information through brochures, newsletters, fliers, etc; Networking and sharing with other organizations; Exchange of relevant experiences and exposure visits to best practices; Organizing meetings, workshops and conferences to support the capacity enhancement of members; Research and documentation; Staff training of member organizations; Support gender focused activities; and recently Grant management.
Service Delivery BEAE provides to its members and partners:
- Information services (News digest, booklets, directory, databases, etc.);
- Training services;
- Workshops/seminars/conferences;
- Resource center, etc.
Achievements
- Served as a platform for information exchange on program activities for member organizations through panel discussions, workshops, etc.;
- Participated in international conferences/meetings on education;
- Organized international events and workshops on ILD, GCE, etc.;
- BEAE has a strong support of donors;
- Has started establishing good relationship with the government (MOE, and regions). Because of this, it has facilitated the 2005 Joint Review Mission (JRM) and the 2006 Annual Review Meeting (ARM); has been invited to comment on the PRSP and also to attend the Adult and Non-Formal Education Strategic Guideline development workshop.
- BEAE represents members in many conferences/meetings and air their views.
- It has established a resource center and internet cafe in its premises;
